Characterization for Non-Radioactive Materials at UW-Madison
UW-Madison has several facilities dedicated to the preparation and characterization of non-radioactive materials which are available to UW and partnering researchers as well as industry members.
Materials Science Center
The Materials Science Center (MSC) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison offers a very wide variety of state-of-the-art characterization equipement and a sample preparation laboratory for non-radioactive materials. Their capabilities include: scanning and transmission electron microscopy, focused ion beam milling, atomic force microscopy, profilometry, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, nanoindentation, atom probe tomography, and more.
